A carer is anyone who cares (unpaid) for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem, or an addiction cannot cope without their support. Anyone can be a carer, and supporting others can be mentally and physically exhausting.
This course will look at who these informal carers are and the importance of them getting support. Caring for someone else can affect your mental health, and this course will examine how carers can look after themselves and where they can find support. Finally, the course will look at bereavement and life after caring.
